Service Description

This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to establish and maintain a patent airway. Learners will develop the skills needed to assess a patient's condition, select and use appropriate airway adjuncts, and provide effective airway interventions. This course can also be combined with Basic Life Support training as an additional certification. Course Content: Opening the Mouth Cross-Finger Technique Tongue-Jaw Lift Airway Adjuncts – Insertion & Removal Oropharyngeal (OPA) Airways Nasopharyngeal (NPA) Airways Supraglottic Airways – Awareness Suction Course Format / Duration: 1–2 hours – Stand-alone Airway Management course 1 hour – When combined with Basic Life Support Prerequisite: None Certification: 3-year Airway Management certification Recertification: No recertification is available for this course. Audience: Ideal for in-facility and healthcare providers, including nursing staff, care aides, dental and medical professionals, as well as pre-hospital care providers such as firefighters, rescue teams, sports therapists, lifeguards, SCUBA divers, and ski patrol. Workplace / Professional Training: This course is designed for professionals who may be required to provide airway management as part of their role and provides hands-on training in airway assessment, adjunct selection, insertion, removal, and suction.
