Complete the theory portion online at your own pace, followed by a mandatory in-class practical session. This blended course provides comprehensive first aid training for responding to a wide range of medical emergencies, including CPR, AED use, choking response, circulation and breathing emergencies, wound care, injury management, and more. Course Content Responding to Emergencies Check, Call, Care Choking Response Circulation Emergencies CPR & AED – Adult Breathing Emergencies Wound Care Head, Neck, Spine & Pelvis Injuries Bone, Muscle & Joint Injuries Sudden Medical Emergencies Environmental Illness Poisons Opioid Poisoning Awareness Course Format / Duration: 8 hours online learning – Complete the theory portion at your own pace (Online learning time will vary depending on the learner) 7.5 hours in class – Mandatory hands-on practical session Prerequisite: None Certification: 3-year Intermediate First Aid & CPR Level A certification Workplace Compliance: Course curriculum meets the requirements of the applicable Federal or Provincial Authority Having Jurisdiction for workplace first aid training and aligns with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Intermediate First Aid standard. The course meets applicable WSIB workplace first aid training requirements.
